About
Will Carter
A trusted source to help you dissolve the mental blocks keeping you from mental and spiritual freedom.
How this began
A health journey that turned into a way of living.
What began during the pandemic as an attempt to get well became the shape of my whole life. I devoted myself to healing my body, my mind, and my spirit — and the practices that carried me through are the ones I now share.
I take an eclectic approach to spirituality, drawing from many philosophies and traditions. I believe every religion holds core truths that point at the same thing: the interconnected nature of our reality, and the bridge between the physical and the non-physical.
First we are spiritual, vibrational beings. Then we are physical. Most of us have those two the wrong way round, and a great deal of suffering lives in that inversion.
The mission
Coming back to a sense of wholeness.
My work is to help you bridge the gaps — building a structured programme where one is needed, and offering holistic practices like massage, reiki, qi gong, and movement to get your energy flowing again.
Sessions happen at my home in Santa Barbara. We sit together, identify what’s in the way, and connect you back into your body through breathwork, energetic light touch, and movement. Then we go forward together.
What I’m aligned with
Nine pillars. I keep it simple.
These are the pillars I believe happiness actually rests on. Everything I offer is measured against them.
I wish I could show you, when you are lonely or in darkness, the astonishing light of your own being.Hafiz
Background & training
Experiential, embodied, and ongoing.
My work is rooted in spiritual guidance, nervous system awareness, mindfulness, and embodied practice. I hold a certified yoga teacher training, which included study of mindfulness, breathwork, somatic awareness, and the mind–body connection.
I’m not a licensed mental health professional. What I do have is extensive experience supporting people through emotional growth, transition, self-reflection, and inner healing — and I keep deepening that through self-study, mentorship, and one-to-one work with clients.
I believe integrity in this work means being transparent about it. My training is experiential rather than academic or clinical, and it’s ongoing. I approach every client with humility, care, and respect for the complexity of the human psyche.
The work focuses on
- Spiritual guidanceNavigating life with a clearer sense of direction.
- MindfulnessPresent-moment awareness you can actually use.
- Emotional regulationThrough breath and embodiment rather than willpower.
- Self-inquiryClarifying values and asking better questions.
- Life transitionsSupport through the stretches that don’t have a map.
Where the line sits
My sessions are not therapy and are not a substitute for professional mental health care. I don’t diagnose, treat, or provide therapy for mental health conditions.
This work is complementary to psychotherapy and medical care, not a replacement. If you are experiencing acute mental health distress, please seek support from a licensed mental health professional or emergency services.
The world needs your light
Ready when you are.
If any of this resonates, the next step is a conversation — no commitment, just an honest look at where you are.
